High intensity interval training or HIIT is a type of cardio where you perform at an all-out effort for a brief period followed by a brief rest. This pattern is repeated for the duration of the workout.
HIIT works are intense but short. Perfect for those with a tight schedule.
Furthermore, the benefits of HIIT do not stop there.
Research has found HIIT workouts to be just as, if not more effective than moderate effort steady-state cardio workouts. Research shows that HIIT workouts improve muscle mitochondria, the energy producers in your cells. More mitochondria means better endurance and more energy for you. HIIT workouts also improve insulin sensitivity. They can even boost memory!
